First Bank Employee Russell Sun Recognized For Volunteer Spirit

In recognition of his outstanding volunteer spirit in 2012, First Bank employee Russell Sun of Woodland Hills in the Southern California region received Gold Level First Bank CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Community First award.

The First Bank CRA Community First Awards Program recognizes an employee’s service contributions to CRA-qualified organizations. Community First Awards can be earned by volunteering time towards CRA-qualified activities, which support one of the following criteria for low-to-moderate income individuals: affordable housing; community services; economic development; and revitalization.

The awards were broken down into three levels: Gold (at
least 100 hours of volunteer service), Silver (50 to 99 hours of service), and Bronze (25 to 49 hours).

Bank system wide (Missouri, Illinois, California, and Florida), the 57 First Bank employees recognized spent 4,186 hours volunteering in their communities. The awards were broken down into three levels: Gold (at least 100 hours of volunteer service), Silver (50 to 99 hours of service), and Bronze (25 to 49 hours).
