Santa Arrives at Topanga Mall Saturday

A new walk-through, interactive display is part of this year's Santa Experience.

Santa Claus must be especially anxious to hear what Woodland Hills' children want for Christmas. This year, he's heading to the Westfield Topanga mall even before Thanksgiving.

Santa will help kick off the holiday season with an evening of falling snow, live performances and other fun beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Among those making appearances are Sonia Rao from season one of The Voice and Golnesa Gharachedaghi of Shahs of Sunset.

As well, the mall will unveil the all-new, interactive Santa Experience. While waiting to visit Santa, the families will be able to explore giant walk-through ornaments and Christmas trees featuring custom digital interactive experiences, including a touch screen game for kids and a digital photo booth to create and send holiday e-cards.

Finally, Westfield Topanga has teamed up with eight retailers for a Festival of Trees. Each retailer is decorating two trees, one of which will be donated to a less fortunate family through Adopt-a-Family and the other will be on display in the center from Nov. 17 through Dec. 24.

Shoppers can vote for their favorite retailer-designed tree. The winning retailer will receive a $1500 donation in its name from Westfield Topanga, to be gifted to the Adopt-a-Family Foundation.

Westfield Topanga is located at 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
