Movies on the Green Series Begins Saturday

'Annie' will kick start the film-in-the-park series.

This is Woodland Hills in the summer, so it's likely the sun will come out tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. But it will definitely come out Saturday—that's when Little Orphan Annie will sing about it at the Movies on the Green kickoff.

According to a large sign along Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Warner Center Park, where the movies will be screened, the show will be a sing-along.

The 1982, PG-rated movie runs 127 minutes and stars Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks, Carol Burnett as Miss Hannigan and Aileen Quinn as Annie.

After Annie, weekly movies, hosted by the Valley Cultural Center, will be as follow:
July 20—Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away
July 27—Wreck-It Ralph
Aug. 3—Hotel Transylvania
Aug. 10—ParaNorman
Aug. 17—Men in Black 3
Aug. 24—The Amazing Spider-Man

The free movies all begin at 7 p.m.
