Hello, and welcome to Woodland Hills Patch!
We’re a hyper-local site dealing with all the things going on in the Woodland Hills community.
Woodland Hills Patch is part of the nationwide Patch network, which strives to make life ridiculously easy for local residents.
We'll share information about schools, local businesses, the neighborhood council and Los Angeles City Council, service organizations, cultural events, interesting people and much, much more.
But Woodland Hills Patch is more than just another news website, it's a place to bring together the community.
I look forward to getting to know all of you (yes, all of you!) and running this site with you, which brings me to my main point:
Patch is all about becoming a valued community resource that you will enjoy and find helpful. It will be shaped by how you and your neighbors choose to join the conversation.
To get started, click on the "Join" link at the the top of the homepage. It's quick, easy and free. Having an account allows you to do lots of things.
Have an opinion on a story? Leave a comment!
Check out the Directory to rate a local business and post a comment about your experience with it.
Want to write about something you would like the community to read? You can submit a commentary or, better yet, start a blog.
Feel like there's something important going on that I should know about or cover? Drop me a note at rebecca.whitnall@patch.com. I'd also love to hear from you on the Woodland Hills Patch Facebook page and via Twitter.
I look forward to getting to know you well over the course of the next few months and hope you’ll get to know Patch, too.
So let’s get this conversation started!
