Memorial services for Jessica Silver, the Woodland Hills girl who the community had rallied behind as she battled cancer, will take place Thursday.
Jessica lost her fight against the rare and incurable nut midline carcinoma Monday night.
She was a new freshman at El Camino High School and had just graduated from Hale Middle School in June. According to a family friend, Jessica was surrounded by family, friends and even teachers Monday evening.
She is survived by her parents and sister, Amanda.
The services will take place at 2 p.m. in Kamenir Chapel at Mt. Sinai Memorial Parks in Simi Valley. A reception at El Camino High's Anderson Hall will follow.
