Carol Elaine Bergquist: Born in Woodland Hills, she lost a two-month battle with cancer, leaving behind her husband Scott and three children, Sara, Brian, and Connor. Passed away Feb. 25. She was 51.

Vera Ruth Reyes: Born Vera Ruth Willets, she passed peacefully at Kaiser Memorial Hospital in Woodland Hills. She loved to travel, and one of her greatest joys was when she and her husband Thomas visited her ancestor's homeland, Ireland. Passed away Feb. 24. She was 91.

Ronald Carmen Dale: He graduated in 1984 from Taft High School in Woodland Hills where he was a baseball star. He was the proud owner of Ron Dale's West Coast Baseball School through which he touched many lives from childhood into adulthood. Passed away Feb. 24. He was 46.

J. R. "Curly" Holdeman: A resident of Woodland Hills since 1960, he was known for his love of telling jokes and stories, his generous nature and warm heart, and his knowledge and strong opinions. Passed away Feb. 24. He was 83.
