2 Men Rob Homeowner, Ransack House in Woodland Hills

The home invasion robbery took place on the 21300 block of Rios Street, near Canoga Avenue.

Two men forced a Woodland Hills homeowner back into his house at gunpoint Monday night and then robbed and ransacked his house before fleeing the scene, but did not hurt the man.

The home invasion robbery on the 21300 block of Rios Street, near Canoga Avenue, took place about 7 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Detective Gus Villanueva.

"Two black men, between the ages of 25 and 35 pulled up to a house on Rios Street where the homeowner was outside," Villanueva said. "The men got out of their vehicle and one of them showed the homeowner a gun, and then forced him back into the house.

"The suspect with a gun held it to the homeowner's head while the other man ransacked the house looking for valuables. The homeowner was not injured."

The two men made off with some jewelry and an iPhone, KCAL9 reported.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a dark-colored SUV, Villanueva said.
