Bicylist Caught Up in Two-Vehicle Crash on Shoup Dies

A bicyclist was also involved in the accident.

A bicyclist in her 40s was killed and two other people were injured, one of them critically, in a crash involving two cars in West Hills today, authorities said.

It happened about 3:55 p.m. in the 7100 block of Shoup Avenue, Eric French of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The deceased victim's age and gender were released by the LAPD's Valley Traffic Division, which was investigating the crash. She died at the scene.

The critically injured patient was taken to a hospital, French said.

The third victim suffered only minor injuries, he said.
