LAPD Stops Traffic to Examine Suspicious Package

The police activity takes place near Ventura Boulevard and Canoga Avenue area.

Personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department's Topanga Division stopped traffic near the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills for a short while Monday afternoon while they investigated a suspicious package.

According to an advisory issued by the department, the device, which was located at 5300 Canoga Ave. was examined and determined to be safe. The advisory, which was issued at 4:30 p.m., said traffic would be allowed to return to normal shortly.
