UPDATE: Missing 81-Year-Old Man Located
The 81-year-old out-of-towner has difficulty remembering his location, police say.
Update: 11 p.m. Police report the missing man has been found.
The Los Angeles Police Department has issued an alert in regards to a missing man in nearby Encino.

John Maykovich, 81, is visiting from out of town and is not familiar with the area. He also has some difficulty remembering his location, the LAPD alert said.
He is described as a 5-foot, 7-inch caucasion with gray hair and blue eyes weighing 145 pounds. He was wearing a green polo shirt, tan jacket, black pants and blue baseball cap when he headed out for a walk in the area of 16800 Halper St., Encino at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The police department is requesting anyone with information about Maykovich's whereabouts to contact the West Valley Division at 818-374-7611 or the Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 877-527-3247.
