Police Target Gentlemen's Club, Bar, at Zoning Hearing

"The businesses have been an ongoing problem ... with frequent crimes and arrests," police say.

The LAPD is asking the public to attend a zoning hearing Aug. 2 that could lead to the closing or restricting of business at The Wet Spot bar and Xposed Gentlemen's Club at 8229 and 8237 Canoga Ave. in Canoga Park.

"The businesses have been an ongoing problem for the Los Angeles Police Department with frequent crimes and arrests that deplete the Department's resources," according to Senior Lead Officer Alex Padron of the Topanga Community Police Station.

The zoning administrator will consider either revocation of the businesses and or placing strict conditions for conducting business at both locations, he said.

The hearing will be 8 a.m., at the Marvin Braude Constituent Service Center,  6262 Van Nuys Blvd., Room 1B, in Van Nuys.
