Street Racing Blamed for Late Night Crash in Woodland Hills

The collision took place late Thursday night and left one motorist injured, according to Los Angeles police.

Street racing at speeds of around 100 mph was to blame in a two-car crash that injured one person in Woodland Hills, police said Friday.

The crash, in the 5800 block of De Soto Avenue, happened at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Officer Robert Carter of the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

A white Nissan 250Z convertible and a black Scion sedan were speeding southbound on De Soto when they collided, sending each car skidding for hundreds of feet, a police investigator told a news photographer at the scene.
