Police Hunt 2 Men in Woodland Hills Home Invasion Robbery

Two men allegedly got away with jewelry and an iPhone.

Update: Police asked for the public's help today to identify two men who forced a Woodland Hills homeowner back into his house at gunpoint and then robbed and ransacked the residence before making their getaway.

The homeowner was not injured in the home invasion, which took place in the 21300 block of Rios Street, near Canoga Avenue, about 7 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles police Detective Gus Villanueva.

He said two men between the ages of 25 and 35 pulled up to a house on Rios Street while the homeowner was outside.

"The men got out of their vehicle and one of them showed the homeowner a gun, and then forced him back into the house," he said. "The suspect with a gun held it to the homeowner's head while the other man ransacked the house looking for valuables. The homeowner was not injured."

The two man made off with some jewelry and an iPhone, KCAL9 reported.

The robbers' vehicle was described as a dark SUV, Villanueva said.

Previous story: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the report of an armed home robbery that took place near the Woodland Hills Country Club Monday night.

According to a report by CBSLA.com, a homeowner on the 21300 block of Rios Street was outside when two men stopped their dark colored SUV to ask him a question. The  men then allegedly showed him a gun and made him go into his house, the website reported.

While one intruder took items from the home, the other kept a gun on the homeowner's head while he was being forced to lie on the ground, the victim said.

The two men got away with jewelery and an iPhone, CBS reported.
