Vehicle Crashes Into Topanga Mall Target Store

Early reports indicate three people are injured.

A vehicle crashed into a Target store in Woodland Hills tonight, injuring three people, one critically, a city fire official said.

The crash was reported at 5:28 p.m. at the Target store at the Westfield Topanga mall at  6800 N. Owensmouth Ave., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department at the scene, the driver—an elderly woman—was coming down a parking structure ramp in a BMW and went through some fire doors of the Target. The car crashed into the electronics section and three people were seriously injured and taken to local hospitals, according to the officer.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
