By City News Service

A woman was stabbed to death Saturday in what Los Angeles Police Department called a domestic disturbance in West Hills  in Canoga Park. ABCLocal was reporting a police manhunt underway for the victim's ex-husband.

The fatal stabbing was at around 7:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Deveron Ridge Road, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department. The victim had been stabbed multiple times, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, Herrera said.

The suspect was on the loose, Herrera added, and an investigation was underway. Neighbors told reporters the woman had obtained a restraining order
against the man, and they said they heard her begging him to ``stop it.''

Police said the victim and the suspect were in a domestic relationship, and the violence appears to be an isolated incident.

Police urged anyone with information regarding this fatal stabbing to contact LAPD Topanga area homicide detectives at (818) 756-3360.
