Pierce College will host a Day of Politics Tuesday. A number of candidates who will appear on the March 5 ballot, including candidates for Los Angeles Council District 3, will attend.
The speaker schedule is as follows:
10:30 to 11:30 a.m.: Los Angeles Community College Board District 2 candidates John Burke and Mike Eng
Noon to 1 p.m.: Discussion of marijuana initiatives scheduled for the May 21 ballot
1 to 2 p.m.: Los Angeles Community College District Board District 6 candidates Nancy Pearlman and Tom Oliver
2 to 3:30 p.m.: Los Angeles City Council District 3 candidates Joyce Pearson, Cary Iaccino, Scott Silverstein, Elizabeth Badger and representatives from candidates Bob Blumenfield and Steven Presbergs offics.
The event is free and open to members of the community. It takes place in the school's great hall. Pierce College is at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills.
