Taft High Football Scores a Win, El Camino Takes a Loss

The Toreadors faced Granada Hills and the Conquistadors played Birmingham Friday night.

It was a mixed bag for Woodland Hills high school football teams this week, with Taft taking a win and El Caminio Real losing Friday night's game.

The hard road continued for El Camino with a loss in Lake Balboa against Birmingham High, according to MaxPreps.com. The Patriots shut out the Woodland Hills team 42-0, bringing the Conquistadors' record to 2-7-0 overall.

Taft High fared better against Granada Hills, which it beat 55-13 despite the Highlanders having a better record going into the game. Taft had a 3-5-0 record to Granada Hills' 4-4-0, MaxPreps reported.

Next week, Taft goes on the road to face Chatsworth (2-6-0 overall) and El Caminio Real will play Granada Hills.
