Former El Camino Baseball Star Retires From Major Leagues

Conor Jackson is expected to return to school to complete his degree.

Conor Jackson, a former Woodland Hills baseball star, has announced his retirement from professional ball.

The 30-year old, who came up through West Hills Baseball and the El Camino Real High School baseball programs, signed a minor league contract with the Orioles in the spring, but didn't make the opening day roster, reported NBC sports.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Jackson, who had been in the major leagues since 2005, is expected to return to U.C. Berkeley to complete his college degree.
