Here's a post we did on setting up Find My iPhone. I recommend having this turned on even if youRead More don't take your iPad outside the house. @mailyn, thanks! I appreciate the info. What do you know of or think about yahoo messengerRead More app....pretty safe to use??

Hey M, sorry for the late response. Since Apple's iPad is a closed system and you can only load appsRead More from their store, pretty much all of them have been vetted to be not harmful. The biggest issue we see on the iPads are people forgetting to restart them every once in awhile :-) We have free group classes at mac-fusion if you ever wanted to learn more about your iPad! http://mac-fusion.com/classes

What a joke they're making of this. The reason for this crash is California's criminal negligence.Read More Obviously the "distance" between opposing traffic traveling at 80 MPH doesn't matter. A "K" rail between the two vehicles would have PREVENTED this crash, undoubtedly. But Ca. would rather pay their public criminals outrages salaries, than invest a little of that money on HIGHWAY SAFETY. I hope all the families of the crash victims know that they need to SUE THE HELL OUT OF the state of California .

It's all about $$$$$. No K rails or bigger trucks. If you think that double trailers are scary youRead More might want to steer clear of Oregon mountain highways where FedEx tows triples.

Jaques,( jock ) trucks have been clean for some time now. My 1996 does not smoke, maybe a puff aRead More start up- and it has a million miles on the original engine. My problem with the damn CARB NAZIS is that they reneged on the agreement they had with the EPA and now say "well, so sorry Danny. Yeah, umm, we did say your truck was clean enough back in 1996, but now because we have enough whack-job treehuggers backing us, we can do whatever the hell we want". FINE but Commufornia, get ready to pay A LOT MORE for EVERYTHING you buy. I'm already enjoying the higher rates I can charge to brings cars into this backwards state. I continue to run my old truck and Laugh my way to the bank HAHAHAHA!!!!
Jock April 20, 2014 at 10:01 am
Danny. I'm sure Your truck runs clean. Tell me you haven't seen rigs that look like an 1870Read More locomotive running down the road. Don't get all literal, you know what I mean. If you grew up sucking the smog of the 50's here you would have a different opinion perhaps. By the way, they still haven't announced what caused this crash. ..."one of two students at Banning High School in Wilmington who was sitting in the back rowRead More told NBC4 the impact was sudden, extremely painful and immediately ignited a fire." This is horrific... but, the first thing that came to my mind - I'm sure SEAT BELTS were nowhere to be seen. Just a metal tomb where bodies get tossed around like packages. WHY does “Click It or Ticket” not apply to buses. School buses in particular - although Metro buses ought to require them also. Is it that seat belts cost too much money? How much is a life worth? The medical bills incurred in this crash could probably install seat belts in 1000 buses. The minimum ticket cost of an adult seat belt violation in California is $142 and up, and a minimum of $445 for not properly restraining a child under 16. If the parent is not in the car, the driver gets the ticket. Who gets this ticket?

Since none of you above are lawyers nor have you read the complete complaint, how do you know thisRead More is just a money grab or unfounded? I was let go from a job once and my boss, during the exit interview mentioned by spiritual practice and that she really respected me professionally but not personally. I *could* have sued because it was clear to me..after months of chatter...that I was being let go partially in part because of my spiritual practice(not Christian) and partially because they had to cut a staff person to save money. Why not cut the "heathen"

It's not necessarily victimless. Here's one case we're following in OC. While it's not clear whetherRead More the driver was using the phone at the time, the prosecutors are alleging she was "completely inattentive." http://sanjuancapistrano.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/defendant-was-completely-inattentive-when-she-slammed-into-softball-coachs-car
Very hypocritical, considering Paul Krekorian used city funds a few years ago to develop a cellRead More phone app to tell you whether parking is available in city parking structures without pulling into it first. You have to break the law in order to use it. HILARIOUS!! Now the city can make money from tickets the write for using an illegal app they developed. James Vincent Reiss received a sentence of 10 years for bilking his legal clients out of $3 million. Patch file photo.
Scott Zwartz March 27, 2014 at 06:25 am
Reiss was merely following the rules of professional conduct which allow an attorney to sell hisRead More client's secrets to the highest bidder. There was a time when attorneys owed a duty of loyalty to their clients and had to keep all confidential information secret and never enter into any business arrangement which harmed their clients. Those quaint old days are no more. An attorney may now tell his client that he wants more money and if his client wants to stick with the written attorney fee contract, the atty is free to go out and sell the confidential information which he learned from his client to the highest bidder. In this case, Attorney Reiss seemed a little eager and did not bother to find a second client who would then make bogus claims against Reiss's original client in order to extort his original client to pay him more. Perhaps, such extortion works only against the little guy and not against a powerful agency. If you're a small fry with an important case, don't be surprised if you atty turns to you near the end of the case and extorts additional fees from you. If you don't pay up, then your confidential information may very soon become quite public. In one recent case, the judge refused to allow the extorted client to fire his attorney and forced the client to sit there while the attorney raked in tens of thousands of unearned fees. How does one protect oneself? One can't, as long as attorneys owe no duty of loyalty to their clients.
