Tony Villar goulishly wants to help with California's economic assisted suicide in Sacto alaRead More Kevorcian. Classic Progressive non-thinking, they never say they're sorry, just play 'lemon' passing into another office or job.

This man was one of the worst mayor's LA has ever had. I've met him. When he talks with theRead More average person, he's not even listening. He's thinking about something else and gives you the "bums rush." He's only interested in himself, and he'll make an even worse governor!

About time. Rode Red Line today. Saw a freeloader in front of me today go thru turnstiles at NorthRead More Hollywood . At Union Station they had a table set up informing riders of the upcoming locked gates. Maybe now I won't get bugged by preachers, CD panhandlers, candy sellers when I ride Metro rail.

It was utterly astonishing to me that Los Angeles of all places, thought that our subway should runRead More on an "honors system." This was completely idiotic. Every other major city in the country requires a ticket to get through the gate. Granted, some people jump over the gate, but they don't get to just walk on through like they do here. That's probably why our fledgling Metro system functions like a mobile homeless shelter for crazy people, who just wander down there and ride around all day.

Adam - you'll still see homeless sleeping in/on the Metro after the change (as you do in any cityRead More that locks the turnstiles), because a Metro fare is far cheaper than most other relatively safe, rooved, air conditioned alternatives. For fewer homeless on the trains we need fewer homeless people - better welfare programs, better shelters, and better mental health services.
Thanks Dad!

Good points Sharon. As a mother of 5 daughters and now 2 grandchildren, latest to Rylee who justRead More spent 8 days in the Nicu, there is alot of cautions to take with your newborns. There are also these awesome monitors to buy at Walmart, Target, Babies are US that monitor not only noises from your newborn but movement. So if your baby does not have respirations for 20 seconds a alarm goes off. My daughter got this for Rylee who is coming home today we HOPE!! as a precaution as she did have a few episodes of forgetting to catch her next breath. Even though she caught herself we are going to stay safe with the monitor. She was born 5 weeks early and just had this little glitch that has not happened again :) Every parent can afford one of these monitors that range in price from 55 to 117 dollars depending on how many out of room alert boxes you want. As you also say Sharon, so many babies are left to fall down in between couch cushions, rocking chairs, and cribs full of "stuff". Its just not needed, just the nice clean sheets in the crib or bassinet.

Brenda/Sharon:Thanks for honoring Dads/Fathers/Pops. You've once again proven that Dad's have noRead More meaning to you other than the sperm donor you apparently used them fore Next time, how about you talk about how important that Dad is, instead of sluffing him off without even a mention I'll bet by your answers you're either single moms or parents who run over the guy- hope you don't nag as well

Doris - thank you for remembering us dads. As a proud father, I appreciate it. Sharon and Brenda;Read More shame on you! This article was to say thanks to dads and had NOTHING to do with infant placement or baby monitors. I agree with Don; next time, stick to the topic!
