Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center to Host Art Exhibit

More than 20 plein aire artists will show their works.

More than 20 local artists will show and sell their work at the Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center March 24.

The one-day event will reflect the work of the artists, who paint plein aire landscapes of local mountains and beaches. The artwork will be displayed in the courtyard of the visitor center.

The show, which is being hosted by Allied Artists and the National Park Service, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the center, located at King Gillette Ranch. The visitor center opened last summer and is jointly operated by the National Park Service, California State Parks and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority.
