Woodland Hills' Aroma Cuban Bakery Closes

The restaurant space has a 'for lease' sign in its window.

Woodland Hills residents with a craving for Cuban cuisine are going to have to travel a little further from home from now on. Aroma Cuban Bakery, the area's only Cuban food restaurant, has closed.

A sign on the door at it's 20929 Ventura Blvd. location is advertising the space is for rent and, even though the website is still up, the business' phone number is no longer in service.

According to Yelp.com, the next closest Cuban food restaurant is Versailles in Encino—which, by the way, has a rating of four out of five stars on the directory website—though Grub Street L.A., which also reported on the bakery's closing, suggests making a trip to Glendale, Burbank or Downey to check out Porto's Bakery and Cafe.

I agree, John! Hope you got a chance to get out of the heat of the Valley over the weekend. (AndRead More wouldn't be nice if we're just getting the heat out of the way now so we can have a pleasant summer?)
